Jane Lawson is Fiction Editorial Director of the Doubleday imprint at Transworld Publishers, home of Kate Atkinson, Curtis Sittenfeld, Bill Bryson and Rachel Joyce.

Her commissions include Brick Lane by Monica Ali, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Adam Johnson's The Orphan Master’s Son which won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction 2013, Longbourn, Jo Baker’s bestselling novel which tells the story of Pride and Prejudice from the servant’s point of view, The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman, and novels of psychological suspense by Tammy Cohen.

Lawson’s fiction in translation includes the International Man Booker shortlisted Chinese author, Su Tong. More recent commissions include the acclaimed debut Wake by Anna Hope and Susan Barker’s The Incarnations published in 2014.
